Namibia 2025

This trip was years in the making! I spent five months at Gobabeb Desert Research and Training Centre, collecting ecological data and specimens related to my dissertation research as well as assisting with long-term research projects at the station. My work included predation studies, mark and recapture, and behavior related to the role coloration plays in crypsis and predator avoidance. During my time I was also able to mentor a local Namibian undergraduate, Kendra, in field work methods and we conducted a short-term project on beetle dispersal together.
