Madagascar 2022

I was fortunate enough to receive a scholarship for the highly competitive Ants & Canopy Bootcamp program which is a part of the California Academy of Sciences. I was one of four US students paired with four Malagasy students for three weeks of ant collection in the canopy of lowland tropical rainforest in southeastern Madagascar. Students were trained in canopy climbing, ant identification, and fieldwork.
